Our ability to represent employees and negotiate topics like PBC is made possible by having legal counsel at the table during negotiations and mediation. This is not possible without the financial contributions of members, and we are thankful to all of you who have shown your support by joining the GAO Employees Organization. Employees who are not dues-paying members who would like to participate in this ratification may do so by joining before the end of the ratification vote. For more information about membership, visit GAOemployees.org/join.
Status of Annual Adjustment
In October 2018, the GAO Employees Organization and the Agency reached agreement on the annual adjustment mechanism that states eligible bargaining unit employees will receive an annual adjustment equal to the General Schedule (GS) increase for their office locations effective on the first day of the first full pay period in January 2019. Congress has passed, and the President recently signed, legislation that includes a pay increase averaging 1.9% for federal employees retroactive to January 6, 2019. Once the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issues the pay tables associated with the increases, GAO can establish pay tables reflecting increases equivalent to the GS increases. While the overall average pay increase is 1.9%, there will be differences in the percentage levels for each office location. Additional details and timeframes for processing the retroactive pay adjustments for both the annual adjustment and PBC will be provided by HCO at a later date.
As always, please direct questions to email@example.com and thank you for your ongoing input and support.
